DAY 1 – ARRIVE IN VIENTIANE | WELCOME TO THE QUIETEST CAPITAL IN ASIA

Land at Wattay International Airport and transfer to your hotel in central Vientiane. The Lao capital moves at its own unhurried pace — wide tree-lined boulevards, golden stupas catching the afternoon light, and a riverside promenade that seems untouched by the urgency of the modern world. Meet your golf concierge for a welcome briefing before a leisurely evening walk to Pha That Luang — Laos’ most sacred national monument — as the setting sun turns its golden spires a deep amber. Dinner at a riverside restaurant: laap minced meat salad, mok pa steamed fish in banana leaf, and the first of many cold Beerlao of the trip.

DAY 2 – VIENTIANE | ROUND 1 AT LONG THANH VIENTIANE GOLF CLUB

An early morning transfer to Long Thanh Vientiane Golf Club — a 27-hole championship layout and the finest international-standard course in Laos. Set across gently rolling terrain on the outskirts of the capital, the course offers immaculate fairways, well-maintained bentgrass greens, and a calm, uncrowded atmosphere that makes for a deeply enjoyable round regardless of handicap. After your round, spend the afternoon exploring Vientiane’s compact city center: the Patuxai Victory Monument, the peaceful Sisaket Temple with its thousands of miniature Buddhas, and the COPE Visitor Centre. Dinner at a French-Lao fusion restaurant.

DAY 3 – VIENTIANE | ROUND 2 AT LAOTEL GOLF CLUB & TRANSFER TO VANG VIENG

A morning round at Laotel Golf Club — a well-maintained 18-hole course popular with both resident expats and visiting golfers looking for a relaxed, friendly round. After a generous post-round Lao buffet lunch, transfer north by road toward Vang Vieng — approximately three hours through a landscape of rice paddies, river crossings, and limestone karst mountains that grow more dramatic with every kilometre. Arrive in Vang Vieng in the late afternoon. Dinner overlooking the Nam Song River as the karsts disappear into the evening mist.

DAY 4 – VANG VIENG | KARST LANDSCAPE & MEKONG KAYAK

A rest day from golf — entirely by design. Morning kayak on the Nam Song River: paddle through still green water between towering cliff faces, pulling ashore to explore riverside caves including Tham Chang. Cycle through surrounding villages where life revolves around rice farming and the river, largely unchanged for generations. Afternoon at leisure: a long lunch at a riverside restaurant, a hammock, and the sound of the water. For those who cannot rest entirely, a hot air balloon flight over the karst valley at dusk offers a perspective of Vang Vieng that few visitors ever see.

DAY 5 – TRANSFER TO LUANG PRABANG | MEKONG SUNSET CRUISE

Morning transfer north to Luang Prabang — the cultural and spiritual heart of Laos. Check in to your boutique hotel in the UNESCO-listed Old Town — a narrow peninsula between the Mekong and the Nam Khan rivers. In the late afternoon, board a traditional wooden longtail boat for a Mekong sunset cruise, stopping at the Pak Ou Caves — two riverside caverns filled with thousands of gold Buddha figures left by pilgrims over centuries. Dinner at the night market: khao soi Luang Prabang style.

DAY 6 – LUANG PRABANG | ALMS-GIVING CEREMONY & ROUND 3 AT LUANG PRABANG GOLF CLUB

Rise before dawn for the tak bat — the daily alms-giving ceremony in which hundreds of saffron-robed monks walk in silent procession through the town’s main street. Breakfast at a riverside café before transferring to Luang Prabang Golf Club — set along the southern bank of the Mekong with views of the mountains and river. The course is more modest in scale than Long Thanh Vientiane but compensates entirely with its setting: fairways edged by jungle, the sound of the river never far away. After your final round, explore the Royal Palace Museum, climb Phou Si Hill for panoramic views, or visit a traditional Lao herbal sauna. A farewell dinner at one of Luang Prabang’s celebrated riverside restaurants closes the golf journey.

DAY 7 – LUANG PRABANG | DEPARTURE

A gentle final morning in one of Asia’s most beautiful towns before transfer to Luang Prabang International Airport. Fly onward to Bangkok, Hanoi, or home. Optional extension: 2 nights in Nong Khiaw — a remote riverside village further north, accessible by slow boat.
