DAY 1: ARRIVE IN HANOI – THE THOUSAND-YEAR CAPITAL
Upon arrival in Hanoi, you will be welcomed by our representative and transferred to your hotel in the city center.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure or take a relaxing walk around Hoan Kiem Lake to soak in the local atmosphere.
Optional: Water Puppet Show – Vietnam’s traditional art form (highly recommended).
DAY 2: HANOI CITY TOUR – OLD QUARTER EXPERIENCE
Begin your journey with a visit to:
- Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum Complex (outside view), One Pillar Pagoda
- Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first university
- Hoa Lo Prison Museum or Vietnam Museum of Ethnology (choose one)
In the afternoon, explore the 36 Streets of the Old Quarter on a walking tour or electric buggy.
Enjoy a cup of Vietnamese egg coffee or iced tea like the locals.
Evening: Water Puppet Show (if not seen on Day 1).
DAY 3: NINH BINH – TRANG AN / TAM COC & ANCIENT CAPITAL
Drive to Ninh Binh, known as “Ha Long Bay on land.”
Highlights include:
- Boat trip through the spectacular limestone caves of Trang An or Tam Coc
- Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, home to the temples of King Dinh & King Le
- Countryside walk or cycling through rice fields and peaceful villages
Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon.
DAY 4: HA LONG BAY OVERNIGHT CRUISE
Travel through the Red River Delta to Ha Long Bay, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Board your overnight cruise and enjoy:
- Welcome drink on board
- Luxurious cabin check-in
- Seafood lunch while cruising past limestone karsts
- Kayaking or swimming (depending on the season)
- Sunset on the sundeck with drinks (own cost)
- Vietnamese cooking demonstration
- Dinner served on board
Overnight on the cruise.
DAY 5: HA LONG BAY → HANOI → FLIGHT TO HO CHI MINH CITY
Wake up early for sunrise Tai Chi on the sundeck.
Visit a cave or floating village (depending on cruise program).
Enjoy brunch as the boat sails back to port.
Drive to Hanoi and take a domestic flight to Ho Chi Minh City.
Upon arrival, transfer to your hotel and enjoy free time.
DAY 6: CU CHI TUNNELS & MEKONG DELTA DISCOVERY
Morning – Cu Chi Tunnels
Explore the legendary underground tunnel system used during the Vietnam War. Learn how guerrilla fighters lived, survived, and fought.
Afternoon – Mekong Delta
Drive to the Mekong Delta and enjoy:
- Private boat trip
- Visit local workshops
- Taste tropical fruits & honey tea
- Enjoy a short sampan ride through small canals shaded by coconut palms
Return to Ho Chi Minh City by late afternoon.
DAY 7: DEPARTURE FROM HO CHI MINH CITY
Enjoy free time before your airport transfer.
